1.1 Dance Revolution Studio is located at 89 Herbenusstraat in Maastricht.

1.2 Contact details: email denzelandsharon@gmail.com and telephone/WhatsApp +31 6 14 93 82 86.

1.3 Chamber of Commerce number: 66940478.

2. Applicability

2.1 These general terms and conditions apply to all registrations, bookings and agreements between Dance Revolution Studio and a participant or client.

2.2 By registering, booking or making a payment, the participant or client confirms that they agree to these general terms and conditions.

2.3 Participants under the age of 18 must obtain consent from a parent or legal guardian.

2.4 Any deviations from these terms and conditions are only valid if Dance Revolution Studio has confirmed them in writing.

2.5 In the case of activities for which a separate quotation or booking confirmation is drawn up, the terms set out in that quotation or confirmation shall also apply.

3. Age, health and participation

3.1 The regular classes are intended for participants aged 16 and over.

3.2 Participants are responsible for providing accurate information about their age, experience and any circumstances that may be relevant to their safe participation.

3.3 Participants take part at their own risk and must assess for themselves whether their physical condition allows them to take part.

3.4 In the event of injury, pregnancy, medical conditions or other relevant circumstances, participants are asked to discuss this with the instructor in advance.

3.5 Dance Revolution Studio may advise a participant to take a different level if this is more suited to their experience, progress or safety.

3.6 The teacher may refuse or terminate a participant’s attendance where this is reasonably necessary on grounds of safety, behaviour, ability or group dynamics.

4. Registration and account details

4.1 Registration for regular classes, trial sessions and activities is carried out via Bueno, unless otherwise stated.

4.2 A registration is final once it has been completed and the payment or payment instruction has been confirmed.

4.3 The participant is responsible for ensuring that their personal and payment details are entered correctly and kept up to date.

4.4 Registrations are personal and may not be transferred without written consent.

4.5 Dance Revolution Studio reserves the right to refuse a booking if a class is full, the level is not suitable, the partner balance does not allow for participation, payments are outstanding, or participation could compromise safety or disrupt the class.

5. Partner lessons

5.1 You do not need a regular dance partner for salsa, bachata and kizomba.

5.2 During most partner classes, dancers regularly change partners. This helps them learn to lead, follow and adapt to different dancers.

5.3 A participant who does not wish to swap places for personal reasons may discuss this with the teacher in advance.

5.4 Dance Revolution Studio aims to achieve a workable balance between leaders and followers, but cannot guarantee a specific ratio.

5.5 If a particular dance role is full, a participant may be placed on a waiting list.

5.6 Participants who register together must each complete a valid registration individually.

6. Course levels and intake

6.1 For the Latin Core Nights, Dance Revolution Studio uses the following levels: Beginner / Foundation, Intermediate / Core and Advanced / Development.

6.2 New dancers should preferably start at the beginning of a new course block or during a specified intake period.

6.3 Joining the course part-way through is only possible if the participant has sufficient experience, there is a place available, and the tutor considers it appropriate for them to join.

6.4 Each class within a Core Night can be attended separately. The classes build on one another in terms of content, but do not rely on specific steps from the previous class.

6.5 Dance Revolution Studio may adjust the level classification where necessary for reasons of quality, safety or group dynamics.

7. Subscriptions

7.1 A membership entitles you to the agreed number of regular classes per week: one, two, three or unlimited.

7.2 A subscription is paid in monthly instalments over a period of 10 months.

7.3 The subscription is based on 36 weeks of lessons per season.

7.4 School holidays, public holidays and previously announced weeks without lessons are included in the fixed monthly fee.

7.5 The monthly fee remains the same, even if the number of lessons per calendar month varies.

7.6 A membership may be used to combine different dance styles, provided that the maximum number of classes is not exceeded, the level is appropriate, places are available and the partner balance allows for it.

7.7 A subscription is personal and non-transferable.

8. Cancelling a subscription

8.1 A subscription may be cancelled at any time on a monthly basis, subject to one calendar month’s notice.

8.2 You may cancel in writing by email to denzelandsharon@gmail.com or via WhatsApp to +31 6 14 93 82 86.

8.3 A verbal notification to a tutor, cancelling via Bueno, ceasing to attend classes or stopping payments does not constitute cancellation.

8.4 The cancellation is final as soon as Dance Revolution Studio has confirmed it in writing.

8.5 The participant remains liable for the subscription fee until the end of the applicable notice period.

8.6 Any sums already due remain payable following termination.

9. Multi-journey tickets

9.1 Dance Revolution Studio offers multi-session passes for 5 and 10 lessons.

9.2 A 5-session pass is valid for 6 months from the date of purchase.

9.3 A 10-session pass is valid for 10 months from the date of purchase.

9.4 Multi-journey tickets are personal and non-transferable.

9.5 A pass can only be used for a booked regular class where there is sufficient space available, the level is appropriate and, in the case of partner classes, the balance of participants allows for attendance.

9.6 Unused vouchers expire at the end of their validity period and are non-refundable.

9.7 The term of validity shall only be extended if Dance Revolution Studio confirms this in writing.

10. Individual tickets

10.1 A single ticket grants access to one specific, pre-booked class on the chosen date and time.

10.2 The ticket is personal and non-transferable.

10.3 If you are unable to attend, your ticket will not automatically be rescheduled and you will not be entitled to a refund.

10.4 Participation remains subject to availability, an appropriate level and, in the case of partner classes, a balance between leaders and followers.

11. Free trial lessons

11.1 A new participant may attend one free trial lesson at a suitable time.

11.2 A trial lesson must be booked in advance via Bueno.

11.3 The availability of a trial lesson depends on the venue, level and, in the case of partner lessons, the ratio of leaders to followers.

11.4 Dance Revolution Studio may offer a maximum of one free trial lesson per participant per dance style or course.

12. Payment and invoices

12.1 All consumer prices on the website include VAT.

12.2 Payment for regular classes, memberships, tickets and multi-session passes is processed via Bueno.

12.3 Cash payments are not accepted, unless Dance Revolution Studio confirms otherwise in writing in advance.

12.4 The participant is responsible for making payment on time.

12.5 If a payment fails or is reversed, the outstanding amount must still be paid within the specified period.

12.6 Dance Revolution Studio may temporarily suspend participation whilst a payment remains outstanding.

12.7 An invoice can be provided on request.

13. Changes to rates

13.1 Dance Revolution Studio may change its rates for a new season.

13.2 Any changes will be announced in advance.

13.3 A price change under a current contract shall only be applied if this has been clearly agreed in advance and is permitted by law.

13.4 In the event of a material adverse change during the term of the agreement, the participant shall, to the extent required by law, be entitled to terminate the agreement.

14. Online registration and cooling-off period

14.1 Contracts concluded online are subject to the statutory rules on the cooling-off period and cancellation.

14.2 If a participant requests to start the lessons or services whilst still within any cooling-off period, Dance Revolution Studio may charge a proportionate amount for the part already provided.

14.3 Legal exceptions may apply to activities taking place on a specific date or within a specific period.

14.4 A request to cancel must be submitted in writing using the contact details provided by Dance Revolution Studio.

15. Cancelling attendance, absence and catching up

15.1 Any participant who is unable to attend must notify the organisers in advance via the Bueno Student App.

15.2 Logging out of the app does not constitute cancellation of the subscription.

15.3 A lesson missed due to your own absence does not entitle you to a refund.

15.4 Where possible, a missed subscription class can be made up in another suitable class.

15.5 A catch-up lesson is subject to availability, level, timetable and, in the case of partner lessons, the balance between leaders and followers.

15.6 The opportunity to catch up is not guaranteed and cannot be paid out.

16. Illness and temporary leave

16.1 In the event of a short-term illness, the subscription will, in principle, continue.

16.2 In the event of a long-term illness or a medical condition, the participant may contact Dance Revolution Studio.

16.3 The subscription may be temporarily paused by mutual agreement.

16.4 Dance Revolution Studio may request information necessary to assess the expected duration of the absence and find an appropriate solution.

16.5 A break shall only take effect once it has been confirmed in writing by Dance Revolution Studio and shall not automatically apply retrospectively.

17. Holidays, public holidays and timetable changes

17.1 Dance Revolution Studio offers 36 regular weeks of lessons per season.

17.2 No regular lessons take place during announced school holidays, public holidays and weeks when there are no lessons.

17.3 These periods without lessons are included in the monthly subscription fee.

17.4 Dance Revolution Studio may amend the timetable, the instructor, the venue or the course content where this is necessary for organisational or content-related reasons.

17.5 A reasonable change to the timetable or teaching staff does not automatically entitle the student to a refund.

18. Cancellation by Dance Revolution Studio

18.1 If Dance Revolution Studio cancels a class, a replacement class, an alternative time slot or an appropriate credit will be offered where possible.

18.2 If no replacement or suitable alternative is available, the relevant tuition fee will be refunded or offset.

18.3 In the event of force majeure, Dance Revolution Studio may reschedule classes, temporarily offer them online or cancel them.

18.4 There shall be no double compensation.

19. Private lessons and private lesson days

19.1 Private lessons must be booked in advance and paid for using the specified booking method.

19.2 A private lesson may be taken alone or with a dance partner, unless otherwise agreed.

19.3 Any cancellation or rescheduling by the participant must be notified in writing at least 48 hours before the start of the event.

19.4 In the event of cancellation within 48 hours or a no-show, the full amount remains payable, unless Dance Revolution Studio decides otherwise in writing.

19.5 If Dance Revolution Studio cancels a private lesson, an alternative time will be offered or the amount paid will be refunded.

20. Workshops, company outings and opening dances

20.1 A booking for a workshop, company outing or opening dance is final once the quotation or booking confirmation has been accepted in writing.

20.2 The content, duration, price, location, group size, preparation and any additional costs will be confirmed in advance.

20.3 Any travel, parking, venue and equipment costs may be charged separately if this has been agreed in advance.

20.4 The client shall provide a safe and suitable venue, sufficient floor space and, where applicable, a serviceable sound system.

20.5 Cancellation terms and payment deadlines are set out in the quotation or booking confirmation.

20.6 Unless separate cancellation terms have been agreed, cancellation must be notified in writing at least four weeks in advance. In the event of later cancellation, Dance Revolution Studio may charge for all or part of the costs incurred and time reserved.

20.7 As regards the opening dance, the outcome depends in part on arriving on time, practising independently and attending the agreed lessons.

21. Friday Night Specials and Latin Crash Courses

21.1 The content, instructor, duration, level, price and schedule of a Friday Night Special or Latin Crash Course will be announced for each session.

21.2 Participation is confirmed once you have registered and paid.

21.3 In the event of your own absence, you are not entitled to a refund, unless other conditions are specified in writing for the activity.

21.4 In the event of cancellation by Dance Revolution Studio, Article 18 shall apply.

22. Language, clothing and equipment

22.1 Lessons are taught in Dutch if all participants and the teacher speak Dutch. If any participants or the teacher do not speak Dutch, the lesson is taught in English.

22.2 Participants must wear clothing and footwear suitable for the chosen dance style and for using the dance floor safely.

22.3 For salsa, bachata and kizomba, comfortable clothing, dance trainers or Latin dance shoes are recommended.

22.4 For dancehall, clean, comfortable trainers with sufficient support and cushioning are recommended.

22.5 For heel steps, sturdy dance heels with ankle support are recommended. Beginners can start with a lower, stable heel or, if the teacher allows it, without heels.

22.6 The instructor may refuse to allow unsuitable or unsafe footwear.

23. Punctuality and the structure of lessons

23.1 Participants are asked to arrive approximately 5 minutes before the start.

23.2 If a participant arrives late, the instructor may decide that it is no longer safe or practical for them to take part, for example if the warm-up has finished or the partner work has already begun.

23.3 Participants shall follow reasonable instructions from the teacher and treat teachers, staff, fellow dancers and the venue with respect.

23.4 Disruptive, intimidating, discriminatory, inappropriate or unsafe behaviour may result in a warning, temporary exclusion or termination of participation without a refund.

24. Practice time

24.1 The regular practice session from 9.30 pm to 10.00 pm is open to all dancers, even if they have not attended a class that evening.

24.2 The practice session is not a formal lesson, but a social practice session in the presence of a teacher.

24.3 During training sessions, participants remain responsible for ensuring their own safety and behaving respectfully.

24.4 Dance Revolution Studio may adjust the practice time or cancel it where this is necessary for organisational reasons.

25. Photography, video and filming

25.1 Photographs and videos may be taken during lessons and activities for promotional purposes on behalf of Dance Revolution Studio.

25.2 Any participant who objects to this must give notice of this in writing in advance.

25.3 Participants may film during the demonstration at the end of the lesson, unless the teacher indicates otherwise.

25.4 Filming during the rest of the lesson is only permitted with the teacher’s permission.

25.5 Participants must respect the privacy of others and must not publish any images in which others are recognisable without their consent.

28.2 Personal data shall not be retained for longer than is necessary or required by law.

28.3 Participants will receive the practical information they need to take part.

28.4 Promotional communications will only be sent to the extent permitted by law. You can opt out of promotional communications by using the relevant opt-out option or by contacting us.

28.5 Bueno’s privacy policy may also apply to the processing of data via Bueno.

29. Force majeure

29.1 ‘Force majeure’ means any circumstance beyond the reasonable control of Dance Revolution Studio which renders performance temporarily or permanently impossible.

29.2 Examples include government measures, the closure of the venue, a lecturer’s serious illness without a replacement, technical faults, fire, extreme weather or other unforeseen circumstances.

29.3 In the event of force majeure, Dance Revolution Studio may suspend, reschedule, amend or cancel the performance.

29.4 Dance Revolution Studio will inform participants as soon as possible and, where reasonable, offer an appropriate solution.

30. Complaints

30.1 Complaints must be reported in writing as soon as possible, by email or WhatsApp.

30.2 The complaint contains sufficient information to enable it to be assessed.

30.3 Dance Revolution Studio aims to provide a substantive response within 14 days.

30.4 Lodging a complaint does not automatically suspend the obligation to pay.

31. Amendments to the terms and conditions

31.1 Dance Revolution Studio may amend these terms and conditions.

31.2 Amendments shall be published before they come into force.

31.3 In the case of existing agreements, material amendments shall only be applied to the extent that this is reasonable and permitted by law.

31.4 Should any provision prove to be void or invalid, the remaining provisions shall remain in force. The invalid provision shall be replaced by a valid provision that comes as close as possible to its intended purpose.

32. Governing law and disputes

32.1 Agreements with Dance Revolution Studio are governed by Dutch law.

32.2 The parties shall endeavour to resolve any dispute by mutual agreement in the first instance.

32.3 If consultation does not lead to a resolution, the dispute may be referred to the competent court in accordance with the statutory provisions.

Final provision

By registering, booking or taking part, the participant or client confirms that they have read and accept these general terms and conditions.
